1960's Pinup Look!!

In this most recent post I am showing my attempt at recreating a 1960's inspired Pinup look (a first for me). I began looking at pictures online from the 1960's, and knew one thing about this look...the primary focus that will be key to pulling the look off, was to pay close attention to the precise line on the eyelid that creates a cat eye. This line needs to be done with a finepoint liquid eyeliner. It is difficult at times to use liquid eyeliner, however with practice you can eventually make a perfect line... The most intense liner is created with this type of liner!! Here is what came up with...

First things first I always prep the eye. In this blog post I used Urban Decay's Primer Potion. This is my most used primer I love it!!

The Next Thing to do was to pick a pretty neutral color for the lid.. I got out my Naked 2 Palette and combined the color "Foxy"  with the color "BootyCall" using a flat eye shadow brush to just the lid of the eye.

Item can be purchased at
Sephora

Above the lid I took my two favorite contour colors Wedge and Cork by Mac, and applied them
with a #217 blending brush above the eyelid.

To finish up the eye area I took the color "Verve" from the Naked 2 palette, and placed it right under the eyebrow as the highlight color.

All that was left at that point was the crease and the cat eye liner!!

For the crease I used the darkest color from Naked 2 "BlackOut" (blended very very well)..

For the eyeliner I used

Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner

I finished up the look with applying False Lashes..
This look was fun to do!!
